All I have to say is thank you for this delicious snack of a book. I started it and couldn’t put it down; 2 and a half hours later I was done and wanting more.
There are few novels that render me speechless, but I can truly say that Taffy has succeeded in taking me on the literary journey of a lifetime.
This book touched on so many important aspects for people of color and women. It definitely spoke loudly for Black Women. Albeit fiction, thank you for giving voice to so many of our experiences.
This novel is beyond riveting! I loved every character and their good and evil roles, and I truly was waiting on their destruction or justice. Taffy and Roam are now my all time favorite and fictional characters. The wisdom in this novel should be seen on film.
I wasn’t expecting to laugh out loud in so many places but I did!! This book was really good and had me burning the midnight oil for real for real with these characters!
My, oh My!! What a story to be told!! I absolutely loved this book and I loved the relationship between Ava and Chase!! Everything was so vivid and detailed! I looovvveee this whole story. It is a fantastic story of forbidden romance and oppression. Still no matter how hard evil pushes, love has a way of pushing back harder.
Suzette Harrison has done it again. I thoroughly enjoyed this read from beginning to end. Ms. Ava Lydell is tough as nails. I love her character as well as her art. And Chase...that man. Lord, it's sad when you fall for a book character. Whew, lawdamercy! In short I wish I could give this 10 stars. Loved it!
